Rashvena Khosa

Rashvena Khosa is an Indian/Malaysian interdisciplinary artist in Brampton and Tkaronto/Toronto with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in the Drawing and Painting program and a Minor in Printmaking from OCAD University. Their practice explores spaces of fragmentation by investigating vibrancies of colour within given environments to create diverse spaces through collage and colour in paintings/drawings and print work. Surrounding the theme site/place/space while deconstructing discourses of time, memory and colour perception. Dissecting an interest in colour vibrancies has led her to cross-examine colour vibrations emitting their own frequencies in relation to human perception. I’ve taken transitioning spaces and transformed it beyond its given space to build the illusion of a spatial void in limitless space, a state in which time has decelerated. I identify transmissions of colour frequencies within theoretical spaces evolving its individual cosmology. My work invites the viewer into the inner realities through diverse perspectives and is encouraged to gravitate into the paintings colour dimension and experience the influx narrative.
